The Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking at Yale (Tsai CITY) is a dynamic hub for student founders, creatives, and community changemakers. Since 2020, Aligning has partnered with Tsai CITY to help tell the stories of Yale’s boldest thinkers — from first-time founders to globally recognized entrepreneurs like Joe Tsai and Stuart Weitzman. Our work has supported Tsai CITY’s mission to bridge the gap between campus innovation and the greater New Haven community.

Their Goal

Yale needed a long-term content partner who could help capture, shape, and share the entrepreneurial energy at the heart of Tsai CITY — not just to document, but to inspire. They were looking for content that could elevate engagement, increase visibility, and deepen the connection between their work and the people it impacts.

New Voices Foundation

Their Story

The New Voices Foundation is dedicated to creating a more inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem by investing in and uplifting women of color entrepreneurs. With programs, funding, and community rooted in legacy and innovation, New Voices needed a way to amplify the stories of the founders they support while also reinforcing their presence at major cultural moments and industry stages.

Their Goal

To partner with a content team that understood both the cultural nuance and strategic importance of storytelling. The goal was to create compelling visuals that could support campaign rollouts, elevate founder stories, and strengthen the foundation’s visibility across digital platforms, events, and brand partnerships.

OUR APPROACH

Since 2023, Aligning has provided content strategy and full production support for New Voices, developing video and photo assets for flagship programs like the Madam C.J. Walker initiative and their high-profile activation at Essence Fest 2024. Our content has helped them connect deeper with their audience, celebrate their mission in motion, and continue building a strong, values-driven brand that resonates.

 Community Foundation for Greater New Haven (CFGNH)

Their Story

The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven is one of Connecticut’s most influential philanthropic institutions, supporting equity, opportunity, and progress across the region. Since 2019, Aligning has served as a creative and strategic partner, helping the Foundation communicate its mission through content that informs, connects, and inspires.

Their Goal

CFGNH needed a trusted partner who could adapt across campaigns and initiatives. A team who could elevate their messaging while staying rooted in the voice of the community. From large-scale events to issue-based campaigns, the goal was to consistently produce content that reflects their values and amplifies their impact.

OUR APPROACH

Over the years, Aligning has supported a wide range of projects, from annual meetings and community convenings to digital campaigns and initiative launches. We’ve provided strategy, video, photography, and ad creative for efforts like the Vineyard Project, Mission Investing, and the Basic Needs Fund along with content for CEO engagements and foundation-wide storytelling.

No matter the project, our focus has been on helping CFGNH turn complex work into clear, compelling stories that build trust and drive engagement.
